Susheel leverages his more than 20 years of business development and sales experience in the networking and data center industry to build Big Switch's ecosystem of OEM, Channel and Technology partnerships. Most recently, Susheel was the VP of Business Development at Embrane, acquired by Cisco in 2015. Before that, as Director of WW channels at Cisco he was responsible for Cisco's global OEM business development and their Cloud Go To Market partner strategy and programs. Prior to Cisco, Susheel was at Andiamo Systems driving their partnership and business development efforts with all major storage vendors and technology and ISV partners. He has held various roles from systems engineering, sales and strategic alliances in the data center space with Cray Research, Silicon Graphics and Brocade. Susheel holds MBA from the University of Chicago-Booth School of Business, an M.S in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a B.S in mechanical engineering from the MS University of Baroda, India.
As Chief Product Officer, Prashant is responsible for Big Switch's Cloud-First Networking portfolio and strategy, including: product management, product marketing, technology partnerships/solutions and technical marketing. Prashant has been instrumental in the product strategy and development of Big Cloud Fabric and Big Monitoring Fabric products. Additionally, Prashant is responsible for Big Switch led open-source initiative, Open Network Linux (ONL), to accelerate adoption of open networking and HW vendor choice. Prior to Big Switch, Prashant was at Cisco where he was responsible for driving product strategy and management of the Cisco ONE Controller, Nexus 1000V virtual switch, VXLAN-based network virtualization, Catalyst 6500 VSS and Nexus 7K as well as Cisco’s SDN and cloud network services, product and go-to-market strategy. Prashant was CEO and co-founder of Rohati Systems, a Data Center security startup acquired by Cisco. Earlier in his career, he was on the Electrical and Computer Engineering Faculty at Villanova University. Prashant holds a PhD in electrical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, has published 60 papers, authored 20 patents, and co-branded VXLAN.
Joe has more than 25 years of experience helping businesses scale by reducing operating friction and improving customer satisfaction. At Big Switch, he is responsible for Business Operations, HR, IT, and Customer Support. Most recently, he was Vice President of Operations and Customer Escalations at Juniper Networks he managed operations teams spanning all key functions of the Security Business Unit in addition to customer engineering teams responsible for solving the most complex customer cases. Before Juniper, he held leadership and key operational roles at Extreme Networks, Sun Microsystems and AT&T Business Services. Joe has a BA in computer hardware from Wentworth Institute of Technology and a Masters in computer hardware from Northeastern University.
Erik has more than 25 years of experience in the networking and telecommunications industries, as well as extensive experience building and leading global technical organizations. At Big Switch, he is responsible for leading and growing the global SE organization. Prior to joining Big Switch, Erik led the WW Systems Engineering organization at Ruckus Networks. He started at Brocade which was then acquired by Broadcom, ARRIS and finally CommScope. Erik helped keep the team of over 200 SEs focused and kept attrition at record lows through multiple acquisitions in a very short timeframe. Prior to Ruckus, Erik had a long tenure at 3Com/HP where he started as an SE and quickly moved into management. He held various sales management & technical management positions of increasing responsibility, including leading Network Consultant/SE organizations, a global Solutions Architecture organization, as well as the global Technical Marketing Engineering (TME) & Competitive Intelligence organizations. Erik was tapped by the President of 3Com to lead the entire technical due diligence project for 3Com which resulted in the $3B HP acquisition. Erik received his B.S. in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis.
